Nikki Chrysostomou: Founder and Director of the Tranquility Pilates Centre, Balanced Body Master Instructor, National and International Pilates Presenter, Gyrotonic® Teacher, Cranial-Sacral Therapist & Dula
At the age of 13 Nikki began assisting teaching in dance and movement, which gave her the fundamental base of knowledge about the body and alignment. Nikki has been teaching Pilates since 2002 and has studied with Balanced Body, The Pilates Institute and Polestar Pilates. She regularly attends international conventions including Pilates on Tour and the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) AGM.
Nikki’s love of practising and teaching Pilates comes across in her work. She is an extremely motivating, positive, and dedicated person who helps people understand their bodies for a better way of life.
In 2009 Nikki completed a 2-year Shiatsu course which started her journey in understanding underlying problems of client’s pathologies. From Shiatsu came Cranial Sacral Therapy. Listening to the client’s body is a big part of Nikki’s work. This results in an increase in the quality of movement, movement with less or no pain, and ensures initiation of movement from the right place.
Nikki regularly travels to Europe and the US to take the right course with the appropriate teacher, keeping her updated and becoming one of the best in her line of work.
In 2015 and in celebration of Tranquility's 10th birthday Nikki reached the summit of Kilimanjaro raising over £5000 for Breast Cancer Campaign.
