We are committed to giving all learners effective, supportive and up to date training. Whether you are new to Pilates and Gyrotonic or looking to update your skill set, Tranquility Pilates Studio offers outstanding solutions for each individual.
REPs / Level 3 Pilates – The Fitness Industry Association have announced that as of December 2009 all Pilates Instructors who wish to teach in a UK Fitness Club must be Level 3 Certified and recognised by REPs. As the first UK Centre for Balanced Body University Teacher Training Courses we needed to partner with a suitable governing body for the BBU Mat Course in order to become recognised by REPs. After much research we chose the Central YMCA Qualifications (CYQ). Joining up with CYQ makes our BBU Mat course not only Internationally recognised, but also a course where students can join the REPs register as a Level 3 Pilates Instructor. In other words our students can teach when and where they want in any part of the world.
Balanced Body University CYQ Level 3 Certification in Teaching Mat Pilates will run as an option to students. Initially we will identify your goals so that you can make the right choice in obtaining your successful outcome.
Students who have already completed the BBU Mat 1 & Mat 2 courses are able to participate in extra curriculum days to be recognised as a Level 3 Pilates Mat Instructor and take the necessary routes in obtaining the CYQ qualification.
Gyrotonic Announcement – we are extremely happy to have Cori Doetzer over to teach at the studio! Cori is an authorised Master Trainer. Cori Doetzer will be teaching a Gyrotonic Level 1 foundation course in September. For more information click here

‘Professional and Career Development Loans are bank loans that can be used to help pay for work related learning. You can borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year’s relevant unpaid practical work). The Young People’s Learning Agency will pay the interest on the loan while you are learning and for one month afterwards. The loan can be used to pay course fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. You can also use the loan to supplement other forms of support such as grants or bursaries. Because the Professional and Career Development Loan is a commercial loan product, they should only be considered as an option once all other student funding options have been investigated.
