Yoga Classes“Union” the meaning of Yoga, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. The union of mind, body and spirit with one’s own consciousness. Yoga combines mind, body, spirit movement to create a magical quality that gives you true fitness, inner-strength, clarity and calm. Our Yoga classes are based on the teachings from Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Scaravelli: "Originally, Ashtanga was called Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa means flow and the vinyasa flow yoga is a new branch and more diverse in the postures. The teacher creates a sequence of postures connected between each other like in a dance sequence. Ashtanga pushes you to your limits. Flow yoga is first of all the constant movement and secondly, the stamina it develops through all these plank positions plus the dozens of downdogs that are used as a link to the postures. Its ideal as a complete work out and its suitable to strong people. I would suggest this style to people with previous experience to yoga, dance, pilates, martial arts or gym people. Technically, it works the muscles and after a short while, someone can really see the definition of the muscles on the body. Scaravelli is a style created by Vanda Scaravelli and is based on the wave of the breath through the practice. Scaravelli believes that when someone practices, they should focus on how the breath is helping the spine to release since breath and spine work absolutely together. Scaravelli is an exploration of the softness of the body and the articulation of the joints. It frees the body from contractions and tensions and aiming in freedom and liberation by creating vital space in the vertebrae, hips, shoulders and knees. Ideal for beginners, people with injuries, sophisticated personalities and people who want to take their time as they are practicing to allow the manifestation of the energy to emerge" Leon 2012 Weekly Yoga Classes:
